His famous method of travel through the boundaries of time and space is his type 40 TARDIS, disguised as a 1960's police public call phone box. On August 4th, 2013, Scottish actor Peter Capaldi was chosen to succeed Matt Smith as the 12th incarnation of the Doctor.

Involvement with planetsEdit

"A Time Lord? But they're forbidden to interfere." "This one calls himself the Doctor, and does nothing else but interfere."

- Cybermen

The Doctor is a Time Lord, though he ran away from his home planet in a stolen TARDIS, as he admitted their lifestyle was boring. The said Time Lord lifestyle was as ever, to never interfere wth the affairs of other life forms - This has branded him a renegade. Yet there are certain laws that even the Doctor will not break willingly, such as interference with well established time events and the summon from the Time Lords. The Doctor keeps a strong belief in the universal proctection against alien aggression, such as the dreaded Dalek Empire, the survival obsessive Cybermen, the war greedy Sontaran Empire and the charming, disguising and tricky Master.

The Doctor's favorite planet is Earth. He enjoys visiting it throughout history and first visited Earth during the French Revolution. He has also played a part with some of Earth's history, starting the Great Fire of Rome, the Great Fire of London, and the fall of the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire.

The Doctor was once finally captured by the Time Lords and exiled to Earth for a while in the 1970s. His crimes were lifted when he tackled Omega, with the help of his former incarnations.

The Doctor has saved Gallifrey several times and has fought other Time Lords at times, including the Master, the Rani, The Monk, and the War Chief. At one point in the planet's history, the Doctor became the Lord President but fled.

Other planetsEdit

At one point, it was believed the Doctor used the Hand of Omega to destroy Skaro, the Daleks' homeworld.
