Starbase 4 was a Federation starbase operating from at least the 2260s.
The survivors of the expedition to Triacus were taken here after their rescue by the USS Enterprise in 2268.
Later the same year, a shuttlecraft was stolen from this starbase by Lokai, a fugitive from the planet Cheron, two weeks before it was discovered by the Enterprise.
