Sol system

The Sol system is the star system named for its sole star "Sol". It is normally called the solar system by Humans, one of their languages being Latin in which the word "Sol" means "sun".

The system has eleven planets...

• Mercury (Sol I)
• Venus (Sol II) - homeworld of the Venusians
• Earth (Sol III) - homeworld of Humanity
• Mars (Sol IV) - homeworld of Martians and Ice Warriors
• Ceres
• Jupiter (Sol V)
• Saturn (Sol VI)
• Uranus (Sol VII)
• Neptune (Sol VIII)
• Pluto (Sol IX) - second home of Humanity after Earth became to hot.
• Eris
• Mondas - Twin planet of Earth, home to our universe's Cybermen.

The system was destroyed in 5.5/Apple/26 when Sol, which had been held back, was allowed to expand and engulf the planets. (DW: The End of the World)
