The Architect is the Bigger Bad/secondary antagonist of The Matrix Trilogy. He is the creator of the Matrix and operates it.

Creation[]
The Architect was created by the Machines to make the humans live inside a simulation.
The First Matrices[]
His first Matrix was designed as a utopia. It became a drastic failure. He knew that every human is imperfect that he redesigned the Matrix based on human history. It was yet another failure. He encountered an Exile known as The Oracle to add choice inside the Matrix. It conceived a systemic anomaly.
The Five Anomalies[]
The anomaly has to arrive to the Architect's room and the Source to reboot the Matrix and rebuild Zion. It happened for five cycles that each lasted a century.
Neo[]
By the time the sixth anomaly, Neo arrived, the Architect knew that Neo had quicker thinking and focused on the love of Trinity. He saw Neo decided to rescue Trinity instead of restarting the Matrix.
Personality[]
The Architect has little to no emotion and only relies on logic.
