The Ancients, an offshot of the Alterans, were a race of people from the Stargate Universe. They orgionated in the Alteran Home Galaxy and eventualy made their way to the Milkey Way, as well as the Pegasus Galaxy. They seeded human life in both galaxies. They eventualy all ascended to a higher plane of existence, continuing the evolution of humanity.
